Angewandte Chemie 50/2023: Direct and Alternating

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Doron Aurbach et al. review polyimide compounds for post-lithium energy storage applications. Johannes Großkopf and Thorsten Bach summarize research on catalytic photochemical deracemization via short-lived intermediates. The Minireviews deal with nanomedicine-enabled chemical regulation of reactive X species for versatile disease treatments (Yu Chen et al.), direct and alternating current electrolysis in organic synthesis (Aiwen Lei et al.), as well as transition metal scaffolds for targeted antibacterial therapy (Wee Han Ang et al.).

In the original research section, Limin Wu et al. describe an s-block potassium single-atom electrocatalyst with K-N4 configuration derived from K+/polydopamine for efficient oxygen reduction (see picture). Stefano Capaldi et al. report the site-specific ubiquitination of tau amyloids promoted by the E3 ligase CHIP. Rong-Jun Xie et al. engineered ligands to enable efficient pure red tin-based perovskite light-emitting diodes. Jean-Nicolas Dumez et al. developed single-scan ultraselective NMR experiments with preserved sensitivity.
