The Austrian Carbohydrate community consists of scientists from all areas of the glycosciences ranging from synthetic glycochemistry, glycoconjugates, glycobiology, glycan analysis, carbohydrate-based materials, and the technology of carbohydrate-based systems. Their main event is the traditional yearly reunion which has been held since the 1990s and has continuously grown to nowadays attract close to 100 scientists from Austria and nearby countries including esteemed invited international speakers.

It is in particular the younger colleagues like PhDs and young PostDocs who get a stage to present their research in a friendly but professional conference setting.
