Participants of the video competition Element Video Competition agree to the Terms of Use.

How to Enter the Video Competition

1. Video Submission

• Contestants can submit one or more videos.
• Submissions will be accepted from October 1, 2018 00:01 am GMT through October 1, 2019 00:00 pm GMT.
• Submission of a video signifies agreement to the Terms of Use.
• The video will be uploaded to ChemistryViews.org and the ChemistryViews.org YouTube Channel.

2. Voting

• Use the voting box in the video gallery to vote videos.
• You are not required to submit a video in order to vote or comment.
• All votes submitted by April 1, 2019 00:00 pm GMT and then all votes submitted by October 1, 2019 00:00 pm GMT will determine which two videos will be featured in an article in ChemViews Magazine and in CHIUZ.

3. Judging

• Winners will be determined by the panel of judges listed below. They will select one winner for each category from all submitted videos after submission is closed on October 1, 2019.
• Categories are: i) creativity and original idea, ii) fun, iii) information

• Winning videos will be announced online and will be featured in CHIUZ and ChemViews Magazine. Winners will be notified by e-mail a few days in advance.

• Professor Klaus Roth, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and regular author of CHIUZ and ChemViews Magazine

5. Prizes

Three winners will be drawn from the winners of the three categories:

1. First Prize (→ Apple iPad (WiFi, 32GB, silver))
2. Second and Third Prize (→ 200 EUR Wiley/Wiley-VCH book voucher)

The two videos that received the most votes on April 1, 2019 and on October 1, 2019 are each featured in an article in ChemViews Magazine and in CHIUZ.

In addition, among all submissions on April 1, 2019, we raffle 2 GDCh Periodic Table Posters and 2 ChemistryViews.org power banks (4000 mAh). Among all submissions on October 1, 2019, we raffle 3 GDCh magic cups.

All winners will be notified by e-mail.

5. Terms and Conditions

• Participants of the competition agree to the Terms of Use.
• Entrants may only submit their own original works.
• Submissions will be accepted October 1, 2018 00:01 am GMT through October 1, 2019 00:00 pm GMT.
• Wiley/Wiley-VCH employees and their family members may participate, but are ineligible to win.
• All submitted videos are subject to approval and may not be accepted if they are found to be offensive or in violation of copyright. See “Acceptable Site Use” in Terms of Use.
• Wiley-VCH reserve the right to use submitted videos in CHIUZ, ChemViews Magazine, and the ChemistryViews.org website and in other promotions.
