Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, L. Peraro and J. A. Kritzer review emerging methods and design principles for cell-penetrant peptides. What strategies can be used to improve cell penetration? H. Zhang et al. discuss exponential isothermal amplification of nucleic acids and assays from small molecules to cells in a Minireview.

In the Communications section, H.-C. Wu et al. report the simultaneous quantification of multiple cancer biomarkers in blood samples through DNA-assisted nanopore sensing (see picture). J. V. Lauritsen et al. reveal the structure of the cobalt oxide / gold catalyst interface in electrochemical water splitting, and J. C. Slootweg et al. used aryldiazonium salts as nitrogen-based Lewis acids to synthesize tuneable azaphosphonium salts. S. Matsunaga et al. describe chiral carboxylic acid enabled, achiral rhodium(III)-catalyzed enantioselective C–H functionalization.
