Angewandte Chemie 17/2020: A Sunny Outlook

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Y. Qi et al. review the reduction of defects for high-performance metal halide perovskite solar cells. How can detrimental effects be avoided? The Minireviews deal with metal–organic frameworks for functional glasses and liquids (S. Kitagawa et al.) and electroplating for lithium-metal anodes and batteries (J. Luo et al.).

In the original research section, A. Hirsch et al. demonstrate spatially resolved bottom-side fluorination of graphene by two-dimensional substrate patterning (see picture). Q. Liu et al. succeeded in the migratory hydrogenation of terminal alkynes by base/cobalt relay catalysis. A. S. Klymchenko et al. present light-harvesting nanoparticle probes for FRET-based detection of oligonucleotides with single-molecule sensitivity. T. Nemoto et al. observed a direct S0→Tn transition in the photoreaction of heavy-atom-containing molecules.
