In this issue, S. Wuttke et al. review structuring reticular materials beyond frameworks across nano-, meso-, and bulk regimes. How can the power of self-assembly be harnessed? The Minireviews deal with quantum dots for display applications (X. Peng et al.) and the impact of ethylene on the efficiency and stereocontrol in olefin metathesis (A. Hoveyda et al.). In an Essay, V. P. Ananikov et al. introduce toxicity profiles of chemical reactions. D. B. Werz et al. contribute a Viewpoint on chalcogen bonding.

In the original research section, D. Sun et al. describe sequential solid-state transformations that involve consecutive rearrangements of secondary building units in a metal–organic framework (see picture). J. Laskin et al. present an integrated microfluidic probe for mass spectrometry imaging of biological samples. S. Hong et al. succeeded in visible-light-induced cysteine-specific bioconjugation, and J. C. Peters et al. found a cobalt–dihydrogen adduct that displays H-atom and hydride transfer.
