In this issue, M. Murugesu et al. review multifunctional lanthanide single-molecule magnets, and C. Boyer et al. summarize research on reaction orthogonality in polymer and materials science. The Minireviews deal with synthetic macrocycle-based nonporous adaptive crystals (J.-R. Wu, Y.-W. Yang), the aluminyl anion as a nucleophile (S. Aldridge et al.), and stereoinduction in metalaphotoredox catalysis (G. A. Molander et al.). M. A. R. B. Castanho et al. share a Viewpoint on peptide proteolytic stability studies.

In the original research section, D. Curiel et al. describe the synthesis and two-dimensional chiral surface self-assembly of a π-conjugated system with threefold symmetry (see picture). K. C. Tang and M. Raj present a one-step azolation for site- and chemoselective labeling of proteins with mass-sensitive probes. T. Maulbetsch and D. Kunz report a synthesis of a carbenaporphyrin ligand. G. Zhang et al. succeeded in a light-promoted copper-catalyzed enantioselective alkylation of azoles.
