Angewandte Chemie 14/2021: Enhanced Stability

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue’s Reviews, K. S. Kumar and M. Ruben summarize research on sublimable spin-crossover complexes, and C. Streb et al. discuss molecular vanadium oxides for energy conversion and storage. The Minireviews deal with NIR-II AIEgens (B. Z. Tang et al.) and metal halide perovskite nanocrystals in metal–organic framework hosts (L. Li et al.).

In the original research section, D. Wang et al. describe electrochemically triggered chain reactions for the conversion of furan derivatives. A. Ewing et al. demonstrate that only a fraction of vesicular serotonin content is released during exocytosis from beta cells. R. Niewa et al. present reduced nitridogermanates(III) with Ge–Ge bonds (see picture). J.-M. Mewes and P. Schwerdtfeger modeled periodic trends in the melting and boiling points of group 12 elements by relativistic simulations.
