Angewandte Chemie 42/2021: Growth

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, J. Gierschner et al. review classes of materials, mechanisms, and conditions of dual emission of radiation. The Minireview deals with dinuclear silver complexes in catalysis (M. G. Campbell).

In the original research section, D. Lipovšek et al. present macrocyclic peptides that bind STING proteins from an mRNA display library with split degenerate codons (see picture). J. R. Norton et al. describe the generation of α-boryl radicals by H atom transfer and their use in cycloisomerizations. S. Sando et al. produced DNA-based synthetic growth factor surrogates with fine-tuned agonism, and H. G. Yang et al. succeeded in boosting photocatalytic water oxidation over bifunctional Rh0–Rh3+ sites.
