Angewandte Chemie 45/2021: Direct Evidence

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, C. S. Diercks et al. review reticular chemistry and S. Wuttke et al. discuss the status of metal–organic and covalent organic frameworks. G. Bodenhausen et al. look back on the life and works of NMR pioneer and Nobel laureate Richard Ernst in an Obituary.

In the original research section, J. A. van Bokhoven et al. present direct evidence on the mechanism of methane conversion under non-oxidative conditions over iron-modified silica. T. Ritter et al. succeeded in the decarboxylative hydroxylation of benzoic acids. E. Matito et al. investigated the aromaticity of molecular nanorings, especially a six-porphyrin nanoring (see picture). Y. Song et al. printed a nanochain-based colorimetric assay for quantitative virus detection.
