Literature Prize for Gerd Ganteför

Professor Gerd Ganteför, University of Konstanz, Germany, has been awarded the Literature Prize of the Chemical Industry Fund (Fonds der Chemischen Industrie, FCI) for his book “Alles NANO oder was?”. The award ceremony took place during the members’ meeting of the German Chemical Industry Association (Verband der Chemischen Industrie, VCI) on September 26, 2014 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The prize honors authors who contribute to the understanding of topics related to chemistry.

Gerd Ganteför studied physics at the University of Münster, Germany, and obtained his PhD at the University of Bielefeld with a thesis on nanoscience in 1989. He is Professor for experimental physics at the University of Konstanz since 1997. In 2008, he was appointed Research Professor at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA.

He ist the author of several books and articles on nanotechnology, energy and climate change. His research focuses on photoelectron spectroscopy and cluster science.
