Author: Roy Opie

Ten prestigious chemists, including four Nobel laureates, presented in Paris on Friday 21st May at the Wiley Frontiers of Chemistry event.

The event was a celebratory symposium on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of ChemBioChem and ChemPhysChem, European journals of chemical biology and physical chemistry / chemical physics.

The programme included presentations from Gerhard Ertl, who won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2007, Jean Marie Lehn, who won in 1987, Roger Tsien, winner in 2008 and Ada Yonath, who was the winner in 2009. The six other presenters are Luisa de Cola, Alan R Fersht, Marc Fontecave, Michael Grätzel, Michel Orrit and Nicolas Winssinger. Further details on the programme can be found here.

View the event through a virtual platform

The event was held in the fabulous Maison de la Chimie in the heart of Paris. It was also broadcast live over the internet through a virtual event platform. This platform allowed you to view the presentations live as they happened in Paris; all presentations were archived and are now available on demand. The platform also allows you to download additional materials; however, communication with speakers and other virtual attendees was only possible during the live event.
