The chemist we are looking for this time made important contributions to organic chemistry in the 19th century. He or she introduced a concept that allowed a systematic understanding and classification of many compounds. He or she also corrected significant misinterpretations of atomic weights and chemical formulas. This irritated many established chemists at the time, however, he or she was later proven to be correct.
