The Nobel Prize in Chemistry will be announced tomorrow. The results of the Who’s Next survey suggest an American chemist in the organic field will win the next Nobel Prize, though Paris Hilton seems to be considered a dark horse by our readers.

According to our final results, 13 % of respondents considered a female laureate likely. This shows a marked contrast to Nobel history – only 4 of 165 awarded chemists were women.

Our readers consider North America and Europe the top contenders. However, the continents have switched places compared to previously awarded prizes: The Americas are home to 54 chemistry laureates so far, Europe has accumulated 92 since the first Nobel Prize in 1901.
