IUPAC 2023 Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) has honored the 2023 Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. The awardees have been selected based on excellence in basic or applied research, distinguished accomplishments in teaching or education, or demonstrated leadership or managerial excellence in the chemical sciences,  with a focus on nominees with a history of leadership and/or community service during their careers.

The awards program acknowledges and promotes the work of women chemists and chemical engineers worldwide. The award presentation took place during the IUPAC World Chemistry Congress in The Hague, The Netherlands, on August 20, 2023.
