Rational Route for Increasing Intercalation Capacity of Hard Carbons as Sodium‐Ion Battery Anodes

Abstract Hard carbon (HC) is the most promising candidate for sodium‐ion battery anode materials. Several material properties such as intensity ratio of the Raman spectrum, lateral size of HC crystallite (La), and interlayer distance (d002) have been discussed as factors affecting anode performance. Hydrometallation of the alkynylelement hydrides iPr2E(H)–C≡C‐tBu (1; E = Si, Ge) with R2M–H [M = Al, Ga; R = tBu, CH(SiMe3)2] afforded in moderate yields the Al and Ga functionalized alkenylsilanes and ‐germanes iPr2E(H)C(MR2)=CH‐tBu (2). Abstract A supramolecular catalytic strategy for the synthesis of dibenzo[a,j]phenazine compounds from 2‐arylamines is demonstrated. The dimerization is achieved through the catalytic action of HemiQ[6] in an acidic environment.
